Creating a MVC WebApp

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) the standard template provided is kind of poor compared to the ones Visual Studio for Windows provides.

To create the project, open Visual Studio for mac and File -> New Solution....

Select .NET Core / App on the left pane and choose ASP.NET Core Web App (MVC).

On the next page select the most recent framework version.

Then enter a project name. I would recommend to use git as well.

We can than run the App by clicking ⌘ + Enter. Your Browser should pop-up showing localhost:5001, a template website.
